Pullman-Standard 60-foot BoxcarsThe Pullman Standard 60-foot boxcar was originally designed in the 1960’s to standardize automakers’ options for shipping auto parts loads across the country. In addition to a new boxcar design, their interiors were stripped clean of racks, bins, and other fixtures, and containerized loads were fork-lifted into the boxcar. Lionel offers the newly-tooled Pullman- Standard 60′ Boxcar in four roadnames for 2008. These scale-sized Standard O cars are available in single-door and twindoor versions and include a wide variety of accurate, separately applied details. Each car also features customized details to match the actual cars, including distinct ladder types, roof equipment, and brake gear.
