Description
You’re looking at a 2012 Fender Classic Series 60s Road Worn Stratocaster in nitro sunburst finish with rosewood fretboard (not Pau Ferro!). It is in excellent condition and comes with a fitted Fender hard case with case key and all original paperwork including hangtag. Fender did a nice job on these reliced guitars–especially the early ones. They have tasteful wear showing the wood under the finish in appropriate places such as the armrest and lower curve. All the hardware is dulled and has a light patina of scuffs and marks. The pickguar on this one in particular is great, very yellowed and aged looking.
Attention to detail is pretty amazing for a guitar in this price range. Back of neck nicely worn for a faster satin feel. Please note, this is an early Road Worn, when Fender was doing a MUCH better job on the relicing. Stuff from 2019, 2020, is just way different. Less attention to detail and very cookie cutter wear marks. Weight is 7 pounds, 4 ounces. I do a full cleaning and setup on all guitars. (Details on my setups and packing at bottom of listing.) Thanks for looking!
What You Get
— Full setup, cleaning, and new strings.
— FREE USA shipping.
— 30-day return policy.
— Ship within 1 business day–pro packing.
Guitar Setup
All setups are done by our in-house luthier. Setup includes new strings (9s or 10s depending on what the nut is cut for), overall polish, cleaning any gunk off fingerboard, oiling neck, and polishing frets when necessary. We spray out any pots that are noisy, turn the truss rod (if necessary) and set string height at low-to-medium action depending on string buzz present. Since setup is highly subjective you may need to get it set to your particular needs by your personal luthier. Basses get the same treatment minus the string change. Thanks!
Packing
I use quality boxes, thick bubble wrap, and peanuts to pack guitars. I have a very high rate of successful guitar and bass shipping (meaning few damaged instruments). I have been doing this 10 years and know how to pack well–with or without a hard case. I wrote a detailed story with photos on how I pack a guitar, which you can find on my StillKickinMusic site blog. If you Google “THERE IN ONE PIECE…How to Pack a Guitar” you will find it. Thanks.

AGED TO PERFECTION
Those who prize older instruments with the battered look of years on the road and the scars of countless gigs can still have that authentically aged vibe without spending decades on the road themselves. The irresistibly cool look of finish worn through to the wood, rusted hardware, a bruised neck and yellowing plastic parts are yours right away with Road Worn instruments. The Road Worn ’60s Stratocaster sounds, looks and feels like it’s been there and back, has more than a few miles on it, and then some. With authentic 1960s styling aged to impart a lifetime of wear and tear that has somehow made it get even better, it’s a must-have for the Strat® player who appreciates broken-in look and vibe.
